Sarcoxie
is a quiet rural community in southwest Missouri. We are located just
off of I-44 between Joplin and Springfield.
This
is an exciting time for Sarcoxie. Our steering committee is in the
process of developing a plan to begin revitalizing our
historic
downtown.

Jasper county has implemented a reverse 911 system. This
system
will allow 911
to call people in specific areas of the county for emergencies and
important
information. Examples include tornados, fire bans, amber
alerts,
etc. For our application, they can notify the entire city or
even a
specific block of the city to provide info. Landlines are
automatically
included. For cell phones, a free registration process is
